Liquid preparation of the MySealant sealing varnish

MySealant is a two-component water-based polyurethane varnish which is highly resistant to abrasion. It is suitable for protecting microcement coatings because it increases mechanical resistance. There are supermte, matt, satin and gloss finishes available.

It is a product that does not release volatile organic substances harmful to the environment and is free of solvents. It is waterproof and has good chemical resistance.

In addition, it prevents dirt from adhering to the microcement, and facilitates the cleaning of the coating.

Application steps of MySealant

The first step is to apply MyCover as a primer so that the polyurethane varnish MySealant, can create a perfect protective film. Allow 4 hours after the application of MyCover.

Apply two coats of MySealant over the microcement and leave 12 to 24 hours of drying time between coats. The enviromental conditions and humidity may delay drying. After the first coat the surface has to be sanded with a 400 grit sandpaper, while the last coat does not need any sanding.

It should not be applied at temperature below 15ºC and for best results it is advisable to apply at temperatures between 18 and 24ºC. The polyurethane varnish can be applied with a fibre roller or spray gun.

- Do not clean the surface with chemicals or cleaners containing abrasive substances. The use of bleach and detergents is particularly frobidden

- Clean the coating with water and MyClean or neutral soap.

- Do not cover the microcement until two weeks after applying MySealant.

- Allow the polyurethane varnish to dry for at least one week before amending it. We should bear in mind that its full chemical properties are reached after two weeks.
