MICROCEMENT PRIMERS MYREVEST

Several coats of primers on a microcement surface

MyPrimer is the range of primers designed to consolidate the surface where microcement is to be applied. When coating a surface, the preparation process is key to achieve good results.

For this reason, MyRevest has developed this line of primers that consolidate the substrates and facilitate the adherence of the microcement to the existing surface. A coating prior to the application of microcement that allows to seal pores, as well as protect and insulate the surface.

It is designed to improve the application of the first layers of microcement on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is the first step to achieve a professional and top quality finish.

PRODUCTS

MICROCEMENT PRIMER FOR ABSORBENT SURFACES
MYPRIMER 100

This primer reinforces and regulates absorbent substrate. It is an optimal pre-treatment for the surface before the application of microcement.

Microcement floor covering in a house overlooking a garden and decorated in a minimalist style
Microcement finish in the kitchen of a house decorated in light and Nordic tones

MICROCEMENT PRIMER FOR NON-ABSORBENT SURFACES
MYPRIMER 200

A ready-to-use adhesion promoter for non-absorbent surfaces. High quality, solvent-free product that strengthens the surface to be coated and facilitate the adhesion of the microcement layer.

MICROCEMENT PRIMER FOR SLIPPERY SURFACES
MYPRIMER 300

It is the primer with aggregate. It can adhere and consolidate microcement perfectly on slippery and low absorbent surfaces. It is ready to use

Microcement cladding in a long corridor that connects to the upper floor of the house
Grey microcement kitchen with two-component epoxy system applied to block humidity

MICROCEMENT EPOXY PRIMER
MYPOXY

It is a two-component epoxy resin and is the best choice to block humidity or water vapour coming from the substrate. It is a high quality product that does not contain solvents.
It can be applied on damp concretes and tiles to prevent the appearances of joints in the microcement covering.

What is the purpose of primer in microcement?

Priming is the first step that the professional applicator has to master the skills in order to achieve top quality finishes.
this product acts as a bonding bridge. It offers several advantages:

-Improves the adhesion of the microcement to the substrate to be coated

-It reinforces the protection of the coating on porous and non-porous surfaces

-It is a product manufactured to consolidate the surface before the application of microcement

-Prevents the surface from absorbing the humidity of the substrate

When should we use primers?

When we talk about primers, we are referring to substrates that need preparation or that are in disrepair. Primers can be applied on to all types of surfaces, and they offer different solutions depending on the conditions of substrates.

For the porous surfaces, the function of the primer is that the surfaces do not absorb more material when the aplicatores apply the first layer of microcement.
It is also recommended for the low adherent surfaces, such as glass or metal

For soft, dusty or very deteriorated substrates, they should be previously cleaned so that the primed surfaces absorb microcement homogeneously.to.

It is also an extra and necessary aid to protect against humidity.
