How to apply the rust activator?

WITH MYMETAL

MyRust allows for an oxidized finish to be achieved by applying it on top of the metallic coating of MyMetal. Before its application, the surface should be sanded.

The activator is applied with a sprayer which allows the surface to be entirely or partially soaked, depending on the desired finish. The product should be left to act for 8 hours. Subsequently, the areas where one wishes to restore the metallic brightness should be sanded using a 2000 grit sandpaper.

After the application of MyRust, it is necessary to apply two layers of MyCover. The drying time between coats is 4 hours.

The second coat requires a drying period of 12 hours followed by sanding with a 400 grit sandpaper. The sealing process is completed with two coats of MySealant 2K varnish. Leave to dry for 24 hours between both coats.

WITH MYOXID

Once MyOxid has been applied and left to dry for 24 hours, the product should be thoroughly degreased and sanded.
With the surface prepared, the oxidizing agent is sprayed on to achieve precision and quality in the finish.

The product can also be applied with a roller to achieve a smooth finish. Rusty, irregular finishes can also be achieved with a sponge or spray.

In this case, MyRust also needs 8 hours to act.
Next, the sealing process begins to complete the application of the metallic coating.
