SURFACE PREPARATION

The first step in support preparation is to check that the surface to be covered is clean, free of grease and with a consolidated base.

Next, an adhesion layer is applied to facilitate the union of the base layer with the surface. To do this, apply the MyPrimer 100 primer, in the case of an absorbent surface, or MyPrimer 200 if it is not absorbent.

MIX

MyBase is mixed with the MyResin product and with pigments based on the color you want to obtain.
The proportion between the micro-cement and the resin:
10 kg of MyBase L –     2.8 liters of MyResin resin
10 kg of MyBase XL –   2.7 liters of MyResin resin

MORTAR PREPARATION

1. Measure in a clean container the amount of MyResin resin that will be needed according to the kilos of powder that are going to be prepared. Once the quantity is measured, pour the resin into a container and add the pigment corresponding to the amount of micro-cement. Mix both products until a homogeneous color is achieved.
Before mixing both ingredients, it is important to use the resin to rinse the pigment container and thus use all its contents. In this way, color differences between one kneading and another are avoided.

2. Pour the powdered microcement into the container where the resin is and mix both components with a mechanical mixer.

3. Make the mix for an average of 2 minutes until you achieve a lump-free and consistent mix.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

1. In addition to cleaning the surface and making sure there is no dirt, it is also important to measure the humidity to ensure that the surface is completely dry.

2. As a preparation microcement, it is applied with fiberglass mesh and in two layers for floors and walls. It can be used as a finishing microcement if applied in three layers, which allows creating surfaces with greater hardness.

How to Mix Resin with Microcement

1

Choice of the appropriate roller

MEASURE AMOUNTS

To achieve a quality and consolidated decorative coating, the first thing is to know precisely what is the proportion of resin that will be needed based on the kilos of microcement that will be used. To do this, the resin must be deposited in a measuring container.

2

Choice of the appropriate roller

RINSE THE COLORANT

A portion of the resin that has been measured is mixed with the pigment to homogenize and get the most out of the colorant in the can.

3

Choice of the appropriate roller

MIX PIGMENT AND RESIN

Once all the colorant has been extracted, pour the pigment into the bucket that has been rinsed. The next step is to mix the pigment with the resin using the stirring rod.

4

Choice of the appropriate roller

ADD THE MICROCEMENT TO THE MIX

To finish the preparation process, you must pour the microcement powder into the bucket and mix it with the resin until you get a homogeneous mix without lumps.
