Its rough texture allows a rustic and natural finish to be achieved. It is ideal for application as a finishing microcement and to give the cladding a stony appearance. MyBase offers great mechanical resistance and strong adhesion on any type of substrates.

MyBase has 3 granulometries: L, XL y XXL.

The product is available in 20 kg black buckets.

Application of MyBase two-component microcement

1

Two-component microcement

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The first step in preparing the substrate is to check that if the surface to be coated is clean, free of grease and consolidated.

Next step, an adherance coat is applied to facilitate the bonding of the base coat to the surface. For this purpose, MyPrimer 100 primer must be applied in the case of an absorbent surface, or MyPrimer 200 if it is not absorbent surface.

MIX

MyBase is mixed with the MyResin and pigments according to the colour wishing to be obtained.
The ratio between microcement and resin:
10 kg MyBase L –     2,8 litres of MyResin
10 kg of MyBase XL –   2,7 litres of MyResin
10 kg of MyBase XXL – 2,7 litres of MyResin

MORTAR PREPARATION

1. Measure in a clean container the quantity of MyResin that will be needed to the amount of microcement accordingly, pour the resin in a container and then add the pigment correspondingly, mix well both products until a homogeneous colour is obtained.
It is important to use the resin to rinse the pigment bottle to get the most out of all the pigment content. This avoids differences in colour from one mixing to the next.

2. Pour the microcement powder into the container of the resin and mix both components with a mechanical mixer.

3. Mix for an average of 2 minutes until a lump-free and homogeneous mixture is obtained.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

1. Clean the surface by removing dust, grease, oil or any other substance. It is also important to take a moisture measurement to ensure that the surface is completely dry.

2. As a preparation, the glass fibre mesh should be placed, then apply two coats for floors and walls. It can be used as a finishing microcement if it is applied in three coats, which allows to create surfaces with greater hardness.

How to mix resin with microcement?

1

Microcemento Bicomponente

MEASURING QUANTITIES

To achieve a quality and consolidated decorative coating, the first thing to do is to know precisely what proportion of resin is needed to mix with microcement to be used. To do this, you should measure the resin in a measuring container.

2

Microcemento Bicomponente

RINSING THE PIGMENT

Part of the measured resin should be mixed with the pigment to homogenise and get the maximum yield from the dye in the container.

3

Microcemento Bicomponente

MIX PIGMENT AND RESIN

Once all the dye has been extracted, pour the rinsed pigment into the bucket. The next step is to mix the pigment with the resin using the mixer rod.

4

Microcemento Bicomponente

ADD THE MICROCEMENT TO THE MIXTURE

To finish the preparation process, pour the microcement powder into the bucket and mix it with the resin until a homogeneous, lump-free mixture is obtained.
